Email Forwarding Service

 

Members of the UCSD Retirement Association can take advantage of our FREE email forwarding service. Email forwarding allows you to use your personal email account to receive messages from your ucsd.edu email address.

For Health Sciences retirees who join the UCSD Retirement Association, the association will assist in obtaining the issuance of a new @ucsd.edu email address (often just with the insertion of a middle initial), which is then eligible for email forwarding. As the previous @ucsd.edu email account will not forward, the health sciences retiree may establish an auto-responder message on the former email, which provides the new @ucsd.edu email address. This is required per UC San Diego Health Policy No. MCP 18.1.  

 

Setting up your UCSD email forwarding account

  1. You must first become a member of the UCSD Retirement Association. The email forwarding service is only available to current members of the UCSD Retirement Association.
  2. New Affiliate ID Card: Upon joining the association, a Retirement Association new member packet will be mailed to you. It will include information on how to obtain your new UCSD affiliate Campus Card along with a signed form you will use to obtain your new card. Follow the instructions on the UCSD Campus Card office. You must make an appointment with the Student Business Services office. Be sure to bring $25 and photo identification (passport, driver's license, or state ID card).
  3. Email Forrwarding: An email forwarding setup form will also be included with your new member package. If you prefer, you may complete the form online here once you have become a member and otained your new Affilate card. The Affiliate number requested on this form is located on the back of the new Affiliate card. If you choose to complete the printed form, please mail it to us at:
    UCSD Retirement Association/ 9500 Gilman Drive, Dept. 0020/ La Jolla, CA 92093-0020. Please note, it will take longer if you mail the form.

The Retirement Association will notify you when your email forwarding account is established.

Note: The University reserves the right to assign email privileges as well as to prohibit or revoke those privileges as it deems necessary.
